Do I need an appointment?
No. Most clients never visit an office. Register in the secure portal, upload your documents, and Connie will be in touch. Pickup and drop-off are available in the Reading area if you prefer paper.
What areas do you serve?
Oakes Tax Service is based in the Mohrsville / Reading, Pennsylvania area and prepares returns for clients across Pennsylvania and Delaware. The practice is fully virtual, so you can file from home anywhere those returns apply.
What is included with every return?
Federal, state, and local preparation and e-filing; a phone or FaceTime review; remote signature; identity theft protection; and $1 million audit protection.
How much does it cost?
Student and simple one-W-2 returns start at $50. A typical household return is around $100. Seniors who cannot use a free service are offered a $75 rate. More complex returns are quoted after Connie reviews your documents — no franchise markups.
Is the online portal secure?
Yes. You create a password-protected account and upload documents directly. Returns are reviewed and signed in the same portal. Never email Social Security numbers or full tax documents.
Can you pick up my documents?
Yes. Contactless pickup and drop-off are available in the Reading, Mohrsville, Sinking Spring, and Myerstown area. Call (610) 929-2515 to arrange it.
Do you prepare business returns?
Yes. Sole proprietors, side gigs, and small businesses can file Federal, State, and Local income taxes, including mileage, home-office, and 1099 reporting. Use the business checklist before you upload.
What if I only have questions — not a return?
